HiDefServers.com is a division of VPLS Inc.. Our goal is to sell high bandwidth packages while offering the unparalleled support provided by VPLS Technical Assistance Centers or vTAC's. Our shared managed unlimited bandwidth servers are unlike other companies where all 100Mbps servers share the same 100Mbps internet connection uplink. Our uplinks are tailored for maximum performance. We constantly monitor and add additional capacity to our switches which have a minimum of 2Gbps per 40 ports. We use Brocade (formerly Foundry Networks) and Cisco Systems switches with dedicated VLAN's for every server. What does this mean? Less broadcast and bogus traffic floating around a flat switch and higher throughputs for your dedicated unlimited bandwidth server. Other companies don't do this because the bogus crosstalk and broadcast traffic on the switch or even hub lower your connection rate!
With our unlimited bandwidth managed dedicated servers you receive vTAC's Tier 1 Managed Support services in every package. This managed support plan offers automated alerting when a service or server is down. vTAC also offers enhanced Managed Support plans Tier 2 and Tier 3 with a dedicated engineer being assigned to your unlimited bandwidth managed dedicated server plan. We don't have peak or non peak hour traffic promotions or other gimmicks. You'll be able to push however much your selected dedicated server's hardware and network card can handle. You'll be able to push at least 40-80Mbps per month with the 100Mbps package.
We believe in keeping it simple. Our 3 dedicated server packages offer various computing power for varying demands. Many web servers don't need the high end computing power of an Intel Quad Core Xeon processor so they can go with a low power green solution like the Intel Dual Core Atom D525. Our mid range Quad Core Intel Xeon E5506 processor offers a superb computing performance and scalability. Options are also simple, operating system: Windows or Linux, network: 100Mbps or 1Gbps, services: basic support or higher end managed services, control panel or none.

Q: What kind of support is included?
Reboot requests, network and hardware troubleshooting, remote hands, KVM over IP access, OS re-installation. Additional managed support such as priority response and a dedicated engineer are also available.
Q: How many IP's are included and do you offer IPv6?
You get a /28 which as 16IP's but only 13 are useable. We don't charge you for IP's you don't use. Additional IPv4 and IPv6 addresses are also available.
Q: How many network providers do you have?
We have Tier 1 providers such as 10Gbps to nLayer, 10Gbps to Level 3, 10Gbps to Global Crossing, 20Gbps to TINET, 20Gbps to Teliasonera, 10Gbps to Hurricane Electric, 10Gbps to China Unicom 10Gbps to China Telecom. With over 100Gbps of transit and 20Gbps of local peering thru Any2Exchange and Equinix LA peering fabrics. All this amounts to one thing, lower pings, no packet loss and no choke.

Q: What kind of hardware do you use?
We use all intel processors with a mix of Dell, Intel and Supermicro motherboards.
Q: When can I expect my server to be ready?
Your server is guaranteed to be up and running within 24 hours of order verification and hardware stock. We mainly have the Organic Atom and Crystal Xeon readily in stock with average build time of four hours. Plasma servers may require more lead time.
